The death of a pet eventually touches every pet owner and effects everyone in the family. And, for many pet owners who have small children, this is their first experience with death. It Snows in Heaven is a starting point for parents who must speak to their children about this difficult topic. It is the story of Sam, a little boy whose beloved dog Smokey dies. Sam seeks answers from his parents and, they in turn, share with Sam their views of death, heaven and where Smokey might be. All the childlike thought provoking questions in this book are real, coming from my own experience with my son, Sam who was three at the time his best friend Smokey died. With loving, confident and ultimately uplifting answers, I help Sam understand that death is not to be feared and that heaven is a place to have faith in and that his loved Smokey is in heaven.
